Information obtained through our professional work is subject to the duty of confidentiality under the Patent Attorney Act (弁理士法), the Judicial Scrivener Act (司法書士法), the Administrative Scrivener Act (行政書士法), and other applicable laws.

In the event of a leakage or similar incident involving personal data that requires reporting to Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission or notification to the individual concerned, we will respond appropriately in accordance with applicable law.

8. Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use

Where an individual requests notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or cessation of third-party provision of their retained personal data, we will verify the identity of the requestor and respond promptly in accordance with applicable law. This does not apply where we are not legally obliged to respond.
